Josh Farro

Special guest

Josh Farro is the former lead guitarist for GRAMMY® Award-winning alternative rock act Paramore, a group he co-founded with his brother and lead singer Hayley Williams when he was just 16 years old. He served as a primary writer on songs for the band’s first three major label albums, including the 4x Multi-Platinum hit “Misery Business.” After a whirlwind seven years of recording and touring the world with Paramore, Farro stepped off the road to pursue songwriting full time.

In addition to writing for film and TV, since signing with CURB | Word Publishing in 2020, Farro has found a home writing songs of worship. Alongside Phil Wickham and Jeremy Riddle, he co-penned “This Is Amazing Grace,” which became Wickham’s first No. 1 single at radio and was named the No.1 song of 2014 on Billboard’s year-end Christian Airplay Songs chart.

“I’ve always known that music’s in my blood. It’s part of my design. When I’m writing worship music, it’s like everything just falls into place. I’m aligned with my destiny and calling as a child of God,” Farro shares. “The life of a songwriter is so much more than sitting in a room and coming up with a really cool lyric or chord progression. It’s about encountering the Holy Spirit. It’s about being led by Him and allowing Him to inspire my songs. He’s given me the gift, so I want to partner with Him and allow His power and creativity to flow through me.”

Farro lives in Franklin, Tenn., with his wife of 10 years, Jenna, and their two children, Basil and Leon.
